Diet Pills
Without Prescription
There is an abundance of diet
pills available without prescriptions. You can see the ads for
them on TV and you can buy them over the counter at almost any
drug store or grocery store. Are there dangers to diet pills
without prescriptions? Are there differences between the different
types of diet pills I can get without prescriptions? Which ones
are reliable and do the job they say, and are they really worth
the money? Let’s take a look at some of the diet pills on the
market without prescription.
One of the most popular diet pills you can get without
prescription in today’s stores is called Hoodia. It comes from a
southwestern African plant called Hoodia Gordonii. Hoodia is an
appetite suppressant. It makes you feel as if you are full,
thereby helping you avoid overeating. As near as scientists and
doctors can tell, this is an herb with little or no known side
effects. Because the discovery of this herb for use in weight loss
is so new, there are not long term studies to determine what side
effects could come later. Talk to your doctor before you begin
using Hoodia. He will have a better idea of the potential problems
you could encounter from using this type of weight loss
supplement.
Other diet pills contain drugs that do the same thing the Hoodia
plant does. Suppressing the appetite has shown to be an effective
way to help people lose weight and stick to a diet because feeling
hungry is one of the main causes of overeating. Sometimes the
appetite suppressant supplements do not work. One of the reasons
for this is that the overeating problem is a lifestyle problem. If
you eat when you are depressed, stressed, sad, upset, or as a
celebration, your eating problem is lifestyle oriented. Appetite
suppressants may not work for you.
Let’s look at the names of some of the most common appetite
suppressants so you know what you are considering if you think
about taking some of these diet pills.
The only pill approved for use in weight loss by the Food and Drug
Administration (FDA) is Alli. Alli came on the market a short time
ago as an over the counter weight loss drug, after finding success
as a prescription weight loss drug.
Alli prevents fat from being stored in the body. It claims to
promote 50% more weight loss than diet and exercise alone. Those
who have used Alli report an increase in weight loss when compared
to their previous diet and exercise plan. They also report
increased energy. Participants report that they see their earliest
results in as little as two weeks, and the plan continues to
promote substantial weight loss for up to six months. Other
participants report that the plan is motivation for their diet and
exercise plans.
There are other diet pills like Alli that claim to burn fat
without a prescription. These include Relacore, Cortislim, and
Xenadrine. While these drugs all claim to be effective diet pills
without prescriptions, they do not have the backing of the FDA
like Alli does. They all claim to target pockets of fat hidden in
those hard to reach areas that don’t burn off with diet and
exercise.
Another popular weight loss drug on the market right now is
Hydroxycut. Hydroxycut is the most popular, best selling weight
loss drug in the United States today. It claims to boost weight
loss, increase the number of calories you burn, and improve your
energy levels. It works as an appetite suppressant.
Hydroxycut comes in three different forms. You can choose the
original Hydroxycut formula, the Hydroxycut 24, which is taken
twice daily and claims to have around the clock effectiveness, or
Caffeine free Hydroxycut, which removes the stimulants which tend
to make users of diet drugs jumpy.
Other weight loss drugs are based
on stimulants like caffeine. Some of those include Leptoprin and
Phentermine. These drugs stimulate the body into increased weight
loss. The problem with the stimulants is that they cause increased
jitters and nervousness. If you’ve ever overdosed on coffee,
that is the same type of high you get from stimulant-based diet
drugs.
If you are looking for diet pills without prescriptions, there is
a lot of homework you need to do. You have the option of an
appetite suppressant drug or supplement which will make you feel
full instead of hungry. You have the option of a fat burning diet
pill without prescription. These claim to burn off the fat you
haven’t been able to burn with diet and exercise. The third
option for diet pills without prescription is a stimulant based
diet pill. You need to know what your weight loss goals are before
you start looking for a diet pill you can get without a
prescription. If you go in knowing what you are looking for, you
are less likely to be taken in by claims that may not work for
you.
